"Submit vs. Sub-par"
Wives-we've been tricked; and taught incorrectly. Submission is not a bad word or thing to do. Submission does not mean to be mistreated, or abused. Submission does have to do with our conduct and attitude; our act of submitting to the authority or control of our husbands.
Yes, your internal attitude - your heart condition!
Submission is simply God's Order! We are to submit to all authorities and the word of God which includes God himself. So why would it all of a sudden be bad to submit to our husbands? This does not make us a sub-par wives but Simply Submitted!

Ephesians 5:22-29 (NIV) Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
